About the Role
The primary purpose of the position is to serve as an Operations Technician, operating and troubleshooting equipment and systems to ensure safe, reliable plant operations and maximize asset value. • Operate and monitor turbines, generators, pumps, scrubbers, wastewater treatment plants, boilers, motors, combustion turbines, and auxiliary equipment • Use CMMS to manage work orders and spare parts inventory • Identify equipment problems and recommend solutions • Perform predictive and preventive maintenance • Conduct electrical maintenance on generators, transformers, and MOVs • Troubleshoot power and control circuits, heaters, motors, and transformers using test instruments • Develop operating procedures for consistent and safe equipment operation • Execute shift work safely while adhering to environmental, housekeeping, and regulatory standards • Follow work management processes and use tag‑out safety procedures

What You Bring
The incumbent must communicate effectively at all organizational levels, have passed required testing and qualifications, and continuously improve electrical blocking knowledge. The role requires a rotation schedule with night and day shifts and may involve overtime. • Associate’s degree in Power Plant Technology, Engineering Technology, or Electronics, or HS diploma with ≥18 months trade/technical training in Power Plant Technology • Complete training requirements and pass the EEI TECH test • Strong electrical background • Availability for rotating night/day shift schedule and overtime as needed • Good oral and written communication skills • Basic computer proficiency • Ability to read and understand power plant prints • Valid driver’s license and access to an insured vehicle • Ability to work in a power plant environment, including climbing and long‑distance walking • Ability to lift at least 50 lb
