About the Role
The Electrical Inspector role is based in Al Ain, UAE, and reports to the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer. The inspector ensures that contractors adhere to contract documents, specifications, and health‑and‑safety measures while documenting and verifying the quality and quantity of work performed. Key duties include reviewing contract packages and drawings, monitoring contractor compliance through observation and testing, maintaining daily records of manpower and equipment, conducting site inspections, and reporting material deliveries. The inspector also implements site quality‑control procedures, prepares measurement checks, and monitors health‑and‑safety compliance, providing clear written reports. • Review contract documents, drawings, specifications, and safety updates. • Verify contractor compliance through observation, measurement, and testing. • Maintain daily records of contractor manpower and equipment. • Conduct site supervision and inspections as directed by the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer. • Document contractor personnel, equipment, activities, locations, reasons, and methods used. • Report material deliveries and implement site instructions from leadership. • Apply and enforce site quality‑control procedures and standards. • Prepare site measurements and surveying checks as required. • Monitor health‑and‑safety compliance and report violations. • Produce clear written reports summarizing findings and recommendations.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a Diploma in Engineering (a related degree is required for progression to Engineer level) and possess a minimum of seven years of overall experience, including at least five years in the UAE, in electrical construction supervision within a consultancy. Strong knowledge of electrical design, installation practices, building codes, and construction techniques, combined with effective oral and written communication skills, is essential. • Diploma in Engineering required; related degree needed for Engineer‑level progression. • Minimum seven years of overall experience, with at least five years in the UAE. • Proven experience in electrical construction projects and consultancy‑based supervision. • Knowledge of electrical design requirements, installation methodologies, and building codes. • Strong oral and written communication abilities and report‑writing skills. • Detailed understanding of construction techniques and quality assurance processes.
