About the Role
The Leasing Consultant role involves meeting prospective residents, assessing their housing needs, conducting eligibility interviews, and showcasing vacant and model suites along with property amenities. Responsibilities also include quoting rental rates and promotions, following up with calls and literature, collecting application fees, security deposits, and rent payments, as well as managing internet leads and maintaining active social media engagement. Additional duties include completing applicant screenings, preparing leases and addenda, maintaining lease records and waiting lists, and ensuring compliance with affordable housing programs and HUD regulations. The consultant must utilize on‑site property management software, inspect units for move‑in readiness, distribute keys and move‑in packages, and actively market the community through outreach, cold calling, and competitor analysis. What You Bring
Candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED, with an associate degree in customer service or hospitality preferred, and have 1–2 years of leasing or sales experience. Preferred qualifications include multisite experience, a valid driver’s license, knowledge of fair housing and affordable housing programs, proficiency with Microsoft Office, strong customer service and persuasion skills, and familiarity with Yardi/CRM systems. • Hold a high school diploma/GED; associate degree preferred • Possess 1–2 years of leasing or sales experience • Multisite experience and valid driver’s license preferred • Knowledge of fair housing laws and affordable housing programs • Proficient in Microsoft Office and customer service skills • Preferred experience with Yardi/CRM systems
