About the Role

The incumbent will plan, develop, and execute training events in international environments to train partner‑nation stakeholders in chemical weapons detection, management, and destruction, as well as first‑responder incident management. Responsibilities include acting as Senior Instructor, establishing relationships with host‑country stakeholders, preparing and calibrating detection equipment, and producing After‑Action Reports to refine curriculum. Collaboration with Project Managers, Training Managers, and logistics personnel is essential to ensure training events meet or exceed government objectives. The role also involves coordinating curriculum, equipment, and day‑to‑day activities for special projects and managing distributed teams abroad. • Plan, develop, and execute international CSE training events for partner‑nation stakeholders. • Serve as Senior Instructor, delivering courses, workshops, and exercises on chemical security elimination. • Establish and maintain relationships with host‑country stakeholders and U.S. government clients. • Prepare, calibrate, and operate chemical weapons detection equipment for training. • Produce After‑Action Reports to capture lessons learned and update curriculum. • Coordinate with Project Managers, Training Managers, and logistics staff to align resources and meet government objectives. • Manage day‑to‑day activities and special projects for distributed teams in foreign locations.

What You Bring

Parsons is seeking a highly talented Chemical Security Elimination (CSE) Training Subject Matter Expert to provide overall leadership and guidance for the development and execution of CSE training events within a large, complex international program. The position is part‑time, on‑call, and requires occasional international travel. Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, biochemistry, or a related technical field, and typically ten or more years of relevant experience, with at least seven years conducting CSE training for U.S. Government international projects. Military experience in Chemical Materials Activity or Recovered Chemical Materiel Directorate is preferred. Desired skills encompass proven performance in training environments, international project delivery, chemical incident response, strong written and oral communication, and the ability to interface with diverse foreign officials, U.S. government clients, engineers, scientists, and subcontractors. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, project planning, attention to detail, and team leadership are also required. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering, chemistry, or technical field. • Possess 10+ years of relevant experience, including 7+ years conducting CSE training for U.S. Government projects. • Have military background in Chemical Materials Activity or Recovered Chemical Materiel Directorate (preferred). • Demonstrate strong written and oral communication and presentation skills. • Exhibit proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio) and project planning tools. • Show ability to travel internationally and work part‑time on‑call as needed.
