About the Role

The CAD Operator will use AutoCAD Civil 3D to create various survey maps, research boundary and easement title documents, and perform boundary analyses. They will integrate field crew data, sketches, photos, and reference maps to develop accurate surveys and prepare legal descriptions for right‑of‑way, easements, and acquisition parcels. Coordination of work activities to maintain schedules and ensure quality control, as well as mastering Kimley‑Horn’s practices and standards, are also essential responsibilities. • Produce subdivision, ALTA, topographic, and other survey maps using AutoCAD Civil 3D. • Research boundary and easement title documents and perform analysis. • Create surveys from field crew data, sketches, photos, and reference maps. • Prepare legal descriptions and exhibits for right‑of‑way, easements, and acquisition parcels. • Coordinate work activities to maintain schedules and ensure quality control. • Develop familiarity with Kimley‑Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards. • Participate in a retirement plan with a 2‑to‑1 company match up to 4% of compensation.

Kimley-Horn is seeking an experienced CAD Operator to join its Survey team in Fort Myers, Florida. The role focuses on using CAD software to produce detailed subdivision maps, ALTA surveys, topographic surveys, and other survey-related exhibits. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent (an associate’s degree is preferred) and at least ten years of relevant experience. Advanced proficiency with Autodesk or Bentley products, strong attention to detail, professional communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are required. • Hold a high school diploma (associate’s preferred) and 10+ years of relevant experience. • Advanced proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley products. • Demonstrate detail‑orientation, strong communication, teamwork, and self‑starting attitude.
