About the Role
As a Heavy Equipment Operator I, you will operate bulldozers, scrapers, and front‑end loaders at one of WM’s recycling facilities that serve over 20 million customers. The position requires strict adherence to safety procedures and contributes directly to the efficiency of waste processing. Operators are recognized for their skill and impact on the overall operation. • Operate heavy equipment in compliance with safety policies • Conduct routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance; maintain records • Move and position raw materials and finished components using material‑moving equipment • Follow standard operating procedures for operating and maintaining vehicles • Work independently and take accountability for safety guidelines • Occasionally lift objects less than 30 lb
