About the Role
The Senior Field Quality Manager leads the project quality team through planning, execution, and close‑out phases. Working closely with project and quality management, they ensure field teams meet quality requirements via monitoring and oversight. The role also supports the Director of Quality in maintaining the quality management system and contributes to best‑practice development. The manager provides lessons‑learned input to maintain QISG’s Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001 and client specifications. Responsibilities include managing contract and project documentation, verifying design‑build and EPC quality standards, and developing audit plans with schedules and resources. They ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, report performance metrics, approve quality plans, conduct independent audits, and address non‑conformances. The role drives continuous improvement by analyzing metrics, leading corrective actions, and training project teams on quality procedures. • Manage contract and project quality documentation, including reports, records, and audits. • Verify effectiveness of design‑build and EPC quality standards and checklists. • Develop and schedule project audit plans with required resources. • Coordinate with operating units and subcontractor QC personnel to meet quality deliverables. • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and client quality requirements. • Report quality performance metrics to senior management on time. • Review and approve quality plans, procedures, and inspection reports. • Conduct independent audits to assess implementation and effectiveness of quality plans. • Identify issues, document deviations, and develop corrective action plans. • Control project documents and ensure they are current and stored per procedures. • Track and resolve non‑conformances, verifying satisfactory verification. • Report quality performance to project management. • Implement procedural improvements based on audit findings. • Lead quality discussions at project kick‑offs and provide QMP training. • Mentor and guide quality team members.

What You Bring
The position requires a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of relevant experience (or an associate’s degree with seven years, or twelve years of direct design quality management experience). Candidates must have successfully developed and implemented quality programs, be proficient with Procore, and have supervised quality staff across multiple states. A strong background in safety, environmental considerations, critical‑path scheduling, and OSHA 10‑ and 30‑hour certifications is essential. Preferred candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in construction management, electrical or civil engineering, or equivalent, and may be CMQ/OE certified. Additional certifications in civil/electrical inspection, welding, structural bolting, and commissioning are valued. Experience of five years in EPC, design‑build or CMAR quality management, or ten years in power‑delivery design quality and surveillance monitoring is desirable. Key skills include technical expertise in design, construction, procurement, testing standards, and equipment specifications. The role demands critical thinking, strong attention to detail, organizational and planning abilities, and excellent communication and teamwork. Leadership, a proactive “take‑charge” attitude, and solid understanding of critical‑path scheduling are also required. The position involves extensive travel, approximately 90 % of the time, to project sites across multiple states. • Input lessons learned to maintain QISG’s Quality Management System per ISO 9001. • Bachelor’s degree (or associate with 7 yr experience) and minimum 5 yr relevant experience. • Proven success developing and implementing quality programs. • Advanced proficiency with Procore Quality Management tools. • Supervision experience of quality staff across multiple states. • Strong knowledge of safety, environmental regulations, and state/local codes. • OSHA 10‑hour and 30‑hour certifications. • Ability to analyze KPIs and recommend solutions. • Advanced understanding of critical‑path scheduling. • CMQ/OE certification and additional inspection/testing certifications preferred. • 5+ yr EPC/design‑build quality management experience. • 10 yr experience in power‑delivery design quality and surveillance monitoring.
