About the Role
• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC and steam distribution equipment and systems. • Operate a variety of equipment as needed to perform work. • Install, maintain, and repair computerized electronic pneumatic devices for HVAC control. • Prepare sketches showing wiring and equipment locations or follow diagrams/blueprints. • Load, transport, and unload material, tools, equipment, and supplies. • Maintain tools and equipment. • Observe and comply with all safety and project rules, including wearing required personal protective equipment. • Rate information using personal judgment or measurable standards. • Visualize detail in objects or drawings as three‑dimensional objects.

What You Bring
Typically 3 years and above documented field experience in the chosen craft discipline with the ability to read and interpret instructions, document, plan, and perform work activities independently. Performs skilled, complex work in the repair, maintenance and installation of heating, ventilating, air conditioning and steam distribution equipment systems. May require a high school diploma or equivalent and prior experience in the field or a related area. Possesses knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures, relies on instructions and pre‑established guidelines, works under immediate supervision, and reports to a supervisor or manager. Physical demands include standing, walking, and sitting for the majority of the shift, lifting and carrying up to 30 lb, pushing and pulling 70 ft‑lb, and performing climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, and fingering tasks with varying frequency. • Perform arithmetical operations rapidly and accurately.
