About the Role
The role is for an Industrial Electrician who will deliver high‑quality electrical services across industrial, mechanical, HVAC, civil works, traffic signal and communications projects. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing systems while meeting strict safety and industry standards. The position offers the chance to work in varied commercial settings and contributes to Downer’s reputation for exceptional service. • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems for mechanical, HVAC, civil, traffic signal, and communications projects • Diagnose and resolve electrical issues to minimize downtime • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and compliance documentation • Collaborate with trades, subcontractors, and team members for seamless system integration

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a New Zealand electrician registration with a current EWRB practising licence and a full Class 1 driver’s licence. The job requires the ability to work independently, manage time, complete daily safety documentation, and be flexible to travel or be on‑call. Strong attention to detail, teamwork, solid computer skills, and experience in industrial electrics—plus electronics and basic programming—are essential. • Strong focus on a safe work environment • Hold a New Zealand electrician registration with a current EWRB practising licence • Possess a full Class 1 driver’s licence • Able to work independently, manage time, and complete daily safety job sheets and timesheets • Flexible to travel, stay away from home, and participate in an on‑call roster • Strong attention to detail and ability to work as part of a team • Solid computer skills and familiarity with various applications • Experience in industrial electrics; electronics knowledge and basic programming a plus
