About the Role

You will review work produced by subordinates to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and procedures, and verify that procured items meet quality requirements. Responsibilities include monitoring staff productivity, making staffing assignments, managing budgeted staffing expenditures, and coordinating procurement activities with clients, project management, and internal departments. You will also participate in the company’s quality improvement process, develop supplier partnership agreements, and help establish and maintain procurement policies and procedures. The role involves ensuring compliance with business ethics and conflict‑of‑interest policies, providing related training, conducting performance evaluations, taking corrective actions, and recommending promotions and salary adjustments. You will support staff development through training, complete special assignments for the Procurement Department Manager, and assist in preparing proposals. • Lead all procurement functions for large domestic and international projects, covering purchasing, expediting, supplier data, quality, and logistics. • Review subordinate work to ensure compliance with codes, standards, procedures, and quality requirements. • Monitor staff productivity, assign/reassign personnel, and manage staffing budgets. • Coordinate procurement activities with clients, project management, and internal departments. • Participate in quality improvement processes and develop supplier partnership agreements. • Establish and maintain procurement policies, ensuring ethics and conflict‑of‑interest compliance. • Provide training on policies and conduct performance evaluations, recommending promotions and salary actions. • Support staff development through training and mentorship. • Complete special assignments for the Procurement Department Manager and assist in proposal preparation.

What You Bring

Parsons is seeking a highly talented Senior Procurement & Commercial Manager. In this role you will provide management and direction for all procurement functions on large domestic or international projects, including purchasing, expediting, supplier data control, supplier quality, and traffic. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field and possess at least 15 years of diversified procurement experience on large global engineering and construction projects, including managerial experience. Required skills include extensive procurement expertise, thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations, proficiency with DMCS or a similar material control system, and excellent written and oral communication abilities. • Require a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or related field. • Require 15+ years of global engineering and construction procurement experience, including managerial roles. • Demonstrate proficiency with DMCS or similar material control systems and strong communication skills.
