About the Role

The role of Project Coordinator on the Energy team in Calgary supports complex upstream, midstream, and downstream projects, guiding clients through their energy transition. Working from the Calgary office, you will collaborate with project managers, technical specialists, and stakeholders to keep projects on schedule, within budget, and aligned with WSP’s climate and sustainability commitments. You will coordinate project plans, schedules, and budgets, organize meetings, document minutes and action items, and monitor progress to flag risks early. Maintaining organized documentation, preparing reports and deliverable packages, tracking expenditures, and facilitating communication between internal teams, vendors, and clients are core duties, as is supporting Project Managers with daily construction and document control activities. • Coordinate and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets. • Organize project meetings, prepare agendas, and document minutes. • Monitor project progress and flag risks to managers and stakeholders. • Maintain organized, audit‑ready project documentation. • Prepare and issue reports, drawings, and deliverable packages using WSP templates. • Track project expenditures and support resource allocation. • Facilitate communication between internal teams, vendors, and clients. • Support Project Managers with daily construction and document control tasks. • Capture accurate meeting minutes for weekly reviews and key sessions. • Provide occasional administrative support to other project teams. • Apply a solutions‑oriented mindset to anticipate and resolve issues. • Contribute to climate adaptation, water protection, and biodiversity projects.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate holds a degree, diploma, or certificate in administration, project management, or a related field, plus 3–5 years of coordination experience. Experience in EPCM or the energy sector, strong MS Office skills, excellent organization, a solutions‑focused mindset, and the ability to work both independently and within cross‑functional teams are essential, while certifications such as PMP or CAPM are advantageous. • Hold a degree or diploma in administration, project management, or related field. • Possess 3–5 years of coordination or administrative experience. • Experience in EPCM or the energy industry is a strong asset. • Proficient with MS Office and capable of learning project management systems. • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Work effectively both independently and within cross‑functional teams. • Open to coaching, feedback, and professional growth. • Certifications such as PMP or CAPM, and familiarity with Agile, are advantageous.
