About the Role
As the UK MOD Enterprise lead, you will provide leadership for the Enterprise accounts, fostering effective relationships with internal stakeholders such as business units, commercial teams, and strategic marketing. You will set and implement account strategies, objectives, and financial outcomes while building links with AECOM’s global defence teams, including the US DoD. You will help shape the regional defence growth strategy, define targets, and prioritize pursuits in collaboration with the Defence Leadership Team and Operating Unit Leaders. Responsibilities include driving business development, winning strategic contracts, managing the sales pipeline, and leading capture teams through Go/No Go decisions and marketing campaigns. • Lead UK MOD Enterprise accounts, reporting to the Head of Defence UK, Europe & India. • Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, global AECOM teams, and MOD counterparts. • Set and implement account strategies, objectives, and financial targets. • Develop regional defence growth and business development strategy, defining targets and prioritising pursuits. • Drive business development and win strategic defence contracts, managing the sales pipeline and capture processes. • Coordinate capture teams, lead Go/No Go decisions, and collaborate on strategic marketing campaigns. • Provide senior client account management across all UK MOD accounts, ensuring day‑to‑day communication.

What You Bring
The role is a key Defence leadership position, reporting to the Head of Defence UK, Europe & India and working alongside defence sector leaders across business lines. The successful candidate must hold an active UK Security Clearance or be able to obtain one, with support provided, and be prepared to apply for Developed Vetting if required. Regular travel to London and other UK offices is expected. We are looking for an outstanding leader with senior‑level experience in infrastructure advisory or comparable consulting, deep knowledge of the UK defence sector, and a proven record of securing $5‑20 million contracts. The candidate should have strong networks within the MOD, OEMs, and senior government stakeholders, and demonstrate strategic, customer‑focused business acumen and emotional intelligence. • Hold or obtain an active UK Security Clearance (SC) and be prepared to pursue Developed Vetting. • Minimum 10+ years senior‑level experience in infrastructure advisory or professional services selling to defence. • Demonstrated record of securing $5‑20 million consulting contracts and working with MOD frameworks (CCS/MCF). • Strong network within UK MOD, OEMs, and senior government stakeholders. • Proven ability to develop value propositions, lead teams, and meet sales production metrics.
