About the Role
Drivers operate heavy‑duty trucks equipped with front, side, or rear‑end lift attachments to collect and transport waste or recyclable containers that can exceed 1,000 pounds. Roles include residential collection, roll‑off services, and require skilled backing maneuvers in congested streets, alleys, and industrial sites. Key responsibilities include complying with WM safety policies, OSHA and DOT regulations, performing pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections, and completing DVIR reports. Drivers must report unsafe conditions, incidents, and service interruptions, communicate customer requests, keep sites clean after dumping, follow assigned routes, and complete end‑of‑day documentation while assisting teammates as needed. • Operate heavy‑duty trucks with lift attachments to collect and transport waste or recyclable containers. • Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections and complete Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR). • Follow WM safety policies, OSHA, DOT regulations, and all applicable local, state, and federal laws. • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, accidents, and service interruptions to the Operations Manager or Dispatch. • Communicate customer requests and ensure sites are left clean and free of debris after dumping. • Adhere to assigned routes, complete end‑of‑day documentation, and assist other drivers as needed.

What You Bring
Applicants must hold a Class A or Class B CDL with an air‑brake endorsement, be at least 18 years old, and be legally authorized to work in the United States or Canada. Preferred qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, and the role involves physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and reaching.
