About the Role

• Deliver high‑standard traffic engineering projects across the UK in line with national/local standards and best practice • Apply ergonomic, economic and sustainable principles to traffic engineering projects • Assess and mitigate risks associated with traffic engineering projects • Travel for site visits, validations, and customer meetings, including overnight stays when required • Prepare technical reports and specifications • Conduct technical checking/approval of traffic engineering schemes before delivery to customers • Prepare consultancy/design quotations • Manage projects and track financial performance • Solve complex traffic engineering problems while managing customer expectations • Achieve objectives within strict deadlines and manage own and others' workload • Use traffic engineering software such as AutoCAD, KeySignals, LinSig or Transyt • Maintain in‑depth knowledge of traffic signal products across the industry • Apply adaptive control strategies such as SCOOT or MOVA, including setup and on‑site validation • Conduct Factory and Site Acceptance Testing

What You Bring

• Demonstrate high‑level verbal and written communication skills and collaborate effectively • Possess expertise in traffic signal design fundamentals and UK standards/specifications • Utilise systems like UTC or UTMC with proven track record • Hold HNC/HND/Degree level in engineering or relevant experience
