About the Role
The Driver – CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck to provide prompt, courteous waste removal services. The driver must ensure the vehicle complies with company safety standards, adhere to all state and federal regulations, and complete daily vehicle condition reports (VCRs) to address any defects promptly. Key duties include performing thorough pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections, reading route sheets, and servicing each customer as assigned. The driver operates manual or automatic controls to lift, load, and compact refuse, then disposes of the material at the designated facility. Interactions with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers are conducted courteously to ensure timely service. The driver continuously monitors waste for unacceptable materials, tags unsuitable containers, and cleans any accidental spills in accordance with safety policies. Vehicle condition is regularly checked, with waste cleared from the packer blade and truck body on each disposal trip. Required documentation such as route/productivity sheets, VCRs, and other reports are completed accurately and on time.

Minimum qualifications include a Class B (or higher) Commercial Driver’s License with air‑brake endorsement.
