About the Role

In this position you will collaborate with Product Development Engineers to secure required certifications for new electro‑mechanical products, primarily CE and CSA, as well as other regional standards. You will also manage third‑party certifications from agencies like DEKRA and TUV and lead cross‑functional compliance and safety reviews. Key duties include reviewing technical construction files, maintaining declaration of conformity documents, updating authorized representative signatures, and ensuring all user manuals and technical documentation meet current compliance requirements. Additionally, you will monitor product risk status, produce periodic risk summaries, and report findings to management. • Obtain and manage CE, CSA, and other product certifications, including third‑party certifications (DEKRA, TUV). • Lead cross‑functional compliance and safety review sessions. • Review and verify technical construction file documentation for compliance. • Maintain declaration of conformity records and update authorized representative signatures. • Ensure all technical documentation, such as user manuals, complies with regional standards. • Track product risk status and produce regular risk summary reports for management. • Collaborate with product development engineers to meet certification timelines. • Perform technical writing for compliance dossiers and user manuals. • Utilize project management skills to meet deadlines in a cross‑functional environment.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate has 4‑6 years of experience with electro‑mechanical products and strong knowledge of CE, ANSI, ISO, CSA, and UL regulations. Technical writing skills, familiarity with regional requirements such as NOM, PSE, KC, RCM, and EQM, and competence in EMC, ESD, IP54, noise, vibration, and radio compliance are required. Preferred qualifications include experience designing complex mechanical or electrical systems, managing compliance programs for electro‑mechanical products, and authoring technical manuals. Core competencies for success are regulatory compliance, mechanical/electrical system knowledge, technical writing, product development, and validation testing. • Apply knowledge of CE, ANSI, ISO, CSA, UL, and regional regulations (NOM, PSE, KC, RCM, EQM). • Familiarity with EMC, ESD, IP54, noise/vibration, and radio compliance requirements. • Preferred: experience designing complex mechanical/electrical systems and managing compliance programs.
