Specialist - Direct Sourcing

About the Role

The specialist will support senior management across supply chain disciplines by identifying process gaps, conducting root‑cause analysis, and implementing improvement strategies. Duties also include gathering vendor, market, and pricing information, obtaining approvals, resolving escalated vendor issues, and adhering to import, export, and excise regulations. • Apply core sourcing expertise to engineering drawings, cost reduction, RFQs, and total cost of ownership analysis. • Conduct should‑cost and zero‑based costing for sheet metal, motors, copper fabrication, welding, and brazing assemblies. • Analyze spend data to generate actionable insights and drive category‑level cost improvements. • Lead supplier negotiations and implement VAVE initiatives for material productivity and raw‑material substitution. • Collaborate with engineering teams on new product development and VA/VE projects. • Manage stakeholder relationships across Carrier entities to ensure project alignment and successful delivery. • Facilitate steering meetings, promote effective communication, and self‑direct project execution. • Support senior supply‑chain leadership in gap analysis, root‑cause investigations, and process improvement implementation. • Gather vendor, market, and pricing information, obtain approvals, and resolve escalated supplier issues. • Ensure compliance with import, export, and excise regulations while monitoring cost‑reduction opportunities. • Provide competitive health insurance and employee assistance programs to support well‑being.
