About the Role

The BIM Specialist II will perform daily BIM modeling and coordination, develop Revit standards, families, templates, workflows, and procedures, and support 2D CAD work as needed. The role supports corporate objectives by delivering high‑quality service to internal Paladin Technologies staff and external customers. • Develop detailed 2D/3D models and drawings for structured cabling, outside plant, AV, security, DAS, and low‑voltage systems using AutoCAD, Revit, BIM360, and Navisworks. • Assist Director of Design and VDC Manager in creating and maintaining BIM/AutoCAD standards, libraries, and templates. • Recommend software, training, and hardware improvements for the Paladin BIM/AutoCAD program. • Produce 3D renderings of conference rooms, data centers, and IDF/MDF spaces for customer proposals. • Expand personal knowledge of BIM and the various technologies Paladin installs. • Participate in BIM coordination meetings with architects, developers, MEP consultants, and trade modelers, providing clear communication and clash resolution support. • Review each project's design intent, BIM Execution Plan, and Project Execution Plan to ensure successful outcomes. • Perform electronic takeoffs using Autodesk tools or Bluebeam Revu as required. • Maintain and enhance skills in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM360, ACC, Navisworks, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam Revu. • Complete miscellaneous design, drafting, modeling, and office tasks as directed by the Design Manager. • Submit drawing sets on time according to BIM Execution Plans and project schedules, seeking teammate support when needed. • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and high‑quality standards. • Create aesthetically pleasing, legible, and accessible drawings.

What You Bring

Physical demands include clear communication (seeing, hearing, speaking, writing) and manual dexterity for frequent reaching, lifting small objects, and operating office equipment. The work environment is a clean, orderly, well‑lit, and ventilated office with low to moderate noise levels. • 3‑5 years drafting/design experience in IT, instrumentation, controls, electronics, or security industries. • Post‑secondary education in Electronics, IT, or a related field from an accredited institution. • Proficient with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam Revu, IP networks, low‑voltage electronics, power and communications, Windows OS, and Microsoft Office. • Strong understanding of physical security and technology industry trends and applications. • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. • Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment. • Highly developed analytical and problem‑solving abilities. • Self‑starter motivated to research new technologies and engineering concepts independently. • Experience with access control, CCTV (IP/Analog), intrusion systems, client‑server security apps, MS SQL, servers/storage arrays, or Microsoft Visio is an asset. • Communicate clearly (see, hear, speak, write) and possess manual dexterity for reaching, lifting small objects, and operating office equipment.

Compensation ranges from $28.00 to $35.00 per hour, based on experience, with a typical Monday‑Friday schedule that may include overtime or on‑call duties.
