About the Role
The Leasing Consultant will meet prospective residents, assess their housing needs, interview them for eligibility, and showcase vacant and model suites along with property amenities. They will quote established rental rates and promotions, conduct follow‑up calls, distribute literature, and pursue rental status while collecting application fees, security deposits, and rent payments. Leasing duties include managing internet leads, maintaining social‑media activity, and increasing engagement through postings and review responses. The role also involves completing applicant screenings, preparing correspondence, drafting leases and addendums, and maintaining lease records, waiting lists, and compliance with affordable‑housing and HUD regulations. Accurate use of on‑site PC‑based property‑management software, unit inspections, and distribution of keys and move‑in packages are essential. The consultant will actively market the community by conducting outreach, cold calling, distributing literature, and partnering with government, social, religious, and community organizations. What You Bring
Requirements include a high school diploma or GED (associate degree in Customer Service/Hospitality preferred), 1–2 years of leasing or sales experience (multisite experience a plus), and a valid driver’s license where required. Candidates must understand fair housing laws, affordable‑housing programs, and be proficient in Microsoft Office; persuasiveness and strong customer‑service skills are essential. Experience with Yardi or other CRM systems is preferred. • High school diploma/GED required; associate degree in Customer Service/Hospitality preferred. • 1–2 years leasing or sales experience; multisite experience preferred. • Valid driver’s license as needed. • Knowledge of fair housing laws, affordable‑housing programs, and Microsoft Office; strong persuasiveness and customer‑service skills. • Preferred experience with Yardi/CRM.
