About the Role

The QA/QC Engineer will implement the project‑specific Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Plan, overseeing planning, monitoring, documentation, and reporting to ensure compliance with contract documents. This role reports to the Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager, Project Manager, or Project Executive. • Develop a comprehensive understanding of contract documents, plans, specifications, and applicable codes. • Create and execute the project‑specific QA/QC Plan, defining scopes of work and procedures. • Establish engineering procedures for document control, RFI tracking, material sampling, cost changes, and change orders within budget guidelines. • Coordinate the QA/QC Plan with the project safety plan. • Maintain strict adherence to ethics and compliance requirements. • Build and sustain relationships with owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure plan compliance. • Align quality control activities with the project execution schedule. • Improve tools and strategies for documenting and tracking contract compliance. • Engage all project staff, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants in executing the QA/QC Plan. • Conduct and arrange testing and inspections, analyze results, and report findings. • Continuously expand and refine the QA/QC Plan throughout the project lifecycle. • Oversee the preparation of Daily Construction Reports (DCRs). • Manage the creation and tracking of punch lists. • Direct removal, replacement, and documentation of non‑compliant materials or workmanship, and verify corrective actions. • Research and apply additional Quality Control and Lean procedures to enhance project delivery. • Supervise project close‑out activities and the preparation of quality reports.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with at least five years of construction experience that bridges field and engineering responsibilities. Required knowledge includes construction processes, means and methods, materials, and Turner's project management software, along with strong computer, verbal, and written communication skills. The position involves regular sitting, standing, walking, and occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
