About the Role

The Shift Engineer role in Gurgaon falls under Property and Asset Management and is responsible for keeping all technical services operational during each shift. You will lead the building’s electromechanical assets, manage the engineering team, and act as the technical liaison for the Property Manager and occupants. Key duties include overseeing electromechanical and utility services, executing planned preventive maintenance, conducting regular site inspections, and reviewing the work of subordinate staff. You will handle documentation, hiring and training of shift engineers, budgeting, SLA/KPI monitoring, vendor quotation and invoice management, and ensure timely renewal of agreements and cost‑sheet submissions. Additional responsibilities cover energy‑conservation initiatives, maintaining equipment history cards and logbooks, attending major complaints, enforcing safety permits and procedures, and supporting risk assessments, root‑cause analysis, and emergency response planning. Participation in evacuation drills, ERT/QRT teams, and preparation of engineering reports such as DMR and MMR are also required. You will work on the Park Centra commercial site in Gurgaon, reporting to the Property Manager and Technical Manager, and collaborate with regional, head‑office and training teams to close required reports. The schedule is a 48‑hour weekly shift with a site team that includes a Property Manager and two assistants. • Ensure continuous operation of all electromechanical and utility services during shift hours. • Lead and develop the engineering team, including hiring, training, and performance monitoring. • Execute planned preventive maintenance and conduct regular site inspections to identify risks. • Manage documentation, asset tracking, vendor quotations, invoices, and renewal of service agreements. • Monitor SLA/KPI performance and implement budgeting controls for effective service delivery. • Drive energy‑conservation initiatives and maintain equipment history and logbooks. • Handle major complaints, enforce safety permits, and support risk assessments and emergency response plans. • Participate in evacuation drills and serve on ERT/QRT teams. • Provide detailed engineering reports such as DMR and MMR to regional and head‑office teams.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate is analytical, meticulous, and able to coordinate across multiple teams, with strong problem‑solving skills and a solid understanding of building operating procedures. A degree or diploma in Electrical or Mechanical engineering (or equivalent) and 3–5 years of experience in real‑estate, hotel or construction – preferably residential – are required. • Hold a degree/diploma in Electrical or Mechanical engineering (or equivalent) with 3–5 years of real‑estate, hotel, or construction experience. • Demonstrate analytical, meticulous, and strong problem‑solving abilities with excellent coordination skills.
