About the Role
The successful candidate will lead cost planning, reporting and procurement activities, manage change control, support risk analysis, and integrate cost with schedule and scope while mentoring junior staff and upholding Turner & Townsend’s delivery methodologies. • Develop and maintain detailed cost plans and estimates throughout design and delivery phases. • Produce and present monthly cost reports, executive summaries and funding data to stakeholders. • Coordinate cost information from design teams, contractors, subcontractors and vendors for validation and auditing. • Compile built‑cost records for benchmarking and continuous improvement. • Lead procurement strategy, review pricing, validate scope and negotiate fair contract prices. • Manage final accounts and ensure timely agreement with contractors. • Own change control: review, estimate, negotiate, reconcile change orders and monitor post‑contract cost variances. • Support cost risk analysis, scenario planning, contingency management and commitment tracking. • Implement robust cost control systems, including Earned Value Management where applicable. • Integrate cost data with schedule and scope, collaborating closely with project controls and scheduling teams. • Drive value engineering initiatives and cost optimisation based on engineering priorities. • Monitor market trends such as escalation, labour availability and material pricing and provide insights. • Act as the primary client interface, delivering service excellence and meeting client objectives. • Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering a high‑performance, one‑business culture. • Maintain financial management excellence, including margin tracking and monthly fee/resource forecasts. • Adhere to internal Business Management Systems, company delivery methodologies and SOX controls where applicable.

What You Bring
Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or a related field, with 5‑7+ years of cost management experience in complex, high‑tech environments, preferably within a construction consultancy. Strong analytical, communication and negotiation skills, as well as proficiency with cost management tools, are essential. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or related field. • Possess 5‑7+ years of cost management/project controls experience in mission‑critical environments. • Demonstrate strong understanding of MEP systems, resilience requirements and hyperscale data centre infrastructure. • Experience in construction consultancy and procurement strategy development is preferred. • RICS accreditation or progress toward certification is advantageous. • Exhibit excellent communication, negotiation, stakeholder management and analytical problem‑solving skills. • Proficient with industry‑standard cost management tools and software.
