About the Role
The Lab Analyst is responsible for using analytical methods to provide prompt and accurate testing of industrial chemicals for conformance to quality specifications, for operational process control, to fulfill special customer requirements, or in support of troubleshooting or improvement projects. • Follow all safety rules and actively promote safety through reporting observations, performing job safety analyses, completing inspections and walkthroughs, and participating in safety meetings. • Uphold the Eastman Basic Safety Expectations. • Perform routine testing to determine and report final product quality status to manufacturing. • Perform routine testing to support unit production as specified by manufacturing units. • Accurately input all data into the LIMS system and record test results legibly on designated forms. • Check operation of testing equipment, troubleshoot issues, and notify the chemist of abnormalities or maintenance needs. • Conduct job tasks professionally, utilizing good housekeeping practices and laboratory technique.

What You Bring
• Minimum of 2 years laboratory experience in an industrial chemical plant or refinery. • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Associate's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Technology preferred. • Proficiency in GC, HPLC, and wet chemistry techniques. • Strong communication and multitasking skills. • Computer skills: Microsoft Office, LIMS, and EZChrom preferred. • Experience with cGMP and ISO 9001 requirements a plus.

Benefits
The position requires working a 12‑hour rotating shift schedule, with current hours of 5:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. on alternating weeks, and may include overtime, evenings, holidays, and night shifts as needed.
