About the Role

The Electrician III is tasked with daily responsibilities that drive construction project success for electrical utility work. You will lead teams, read blueprints, estimate costs, and manage materials, labor, and budgets. The role also requires ensuring compliance with company, client, and regulatory standards and applying industry knowledge to new site builds, modifications, and deployments. • Lead and provide guidance to ensure project completion • Read blueprints and perform estimates • Manage material, labor, and electrical projects while controlling costs • Apply working knowledge of electrical industry for new site builds, modifications, and deployment • Manage and control project financial cycle, including budgeting, tracking, reporting, bidding, purchase orders, invoice approval, and close‑out • Prepare scope of work with pricing, resources, and schedule for new projects per contract terms • Oversee site acquisition, engineering, and construction compliance with company, client, and regulatory policies • Use customer network knowledge to identify future deployment opportunities • Conduct risk management, contingency planning, and negotiate complex issues to favorable outcomes • Enforce MasTec Network Solutions quality program and safety guidelines for staff and vendors • Train and enforce company quality processes and standards • Manage inspection and acceptance of vendor and internal work, ensuring quality of deliverables • Implement and achieve the company’s Zero Defect Policy

What You Bring

Ideal candidates are licensed State 01 Journeyman electricians with at least five years of trade experience and a high‑school diploma. Proficiency in project‑management software (Microsoft Project, P3e or comparable), MS Office, and estimating tools is essential, as is familiarity with 24 VDC/48 VDC systems and telecom construction phases. Strong communication, strategic planning, and collaborative relationship skills are required, along with a willingness to travel up to 90 % of the time. • Licensed State 01 Journeyman electrician • 5+ years of industry trade experience; high school diploma • Proficiency with project management software (Microsoft Project, P3e, etc.) and MS Office • Experience with estimating software • Knowledge of 24VDC and 48VDC systems (preferred) • Understanding of telecom construction phases and core network concepts • Design and construction experience; some RF engineering experience preferred • Strong oral and written communication, decision‑making, and strategic planning skills • Ability to build collaborative relationships and manage projects • Willingness to travel up to 90 % of the time
