About the Role

The role involves reviewing contract requirements, allocating budgets, processing receivables and payables, conducting cost analyses, managing labor cost components, supporting audits, and handling other assigned duties. • Review construction contract requirements and allocate project budgets using contract summaries. • Process receivables, prepare cost‑plus billings, and ensure timely cash receipt posting. • Manage payables, set up vendors and subcontracts, and process subcontractor applications and equipment pre‑bills. • Conduct project cost analyses, prepare specialized reports, and support monthly financial projections. • Track labor costs, maintain crew member files, capture weekly hours, and verify certified payroll reports. • Respond to Procore system queries, represent Mortenson in audits, and assist with annual physical inventory procedures.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration, have at least three years of accounting experience (preferably construction accounting), be detail‑oriented, proficient in Excel and ERP systems such as Textura and Oracle, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills. • Minimum three years of accounting experience, preferably in construction accounting. • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP applications such as Textura and Oracle. • Strong organizational, detail‑orientation, and communication skills. • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and support large teams. • Knowledge of percentage‑of‑completion accounting and construction contracts is advantageous.
