About the Role

The day‑to‑day duties include checking system functionality, replacing detector and panel batteries, testing warning sounders, ensuring standby battery operation, verifying detection devices, confirming activation of signaling equipment to the Alarm Receiving Centre, and cleaning CCTV/Wi‑Fi cameras. Technicians also liaise with the service bureau per company procedures and accurately record work details on a mobile data device. • Perform routine inspections and resolve breakdowns on CCTV, video doorbell, and intruder alarm systems. • Replace detector, panel and backup batteries and test alarm sounders. • Verify system operation on standby batteries and ensure proper signaling to the Alarm Receiving Centre. • Clean and maintain CCTV and Wi‑Fi cameras. • Liaise with the service bureau following company procedures. • Record work details accurately on the mobile data device. • Communicate effectively with customers and team members to exceed expectations. • Utilize smartphones, tablets and PCs for job tasks.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a full UK manual driver’s licence, be able to carry and climb ladders, and possess practical hand‑tool skills. They should work safely, be reliable, self‑motivated, and capable of both independent and team work, with strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.
