About the Role

Our Mechanical Project Managers are responsible for the daily supervision, direction, and coordination of all mechanical construction activities on our projects. This position will involve collaboration with our mechanical trades superintendents as well as various subcontractors and members of the RQ team. We are passionate about producing quality work within the government’s specified requirements, targeted budget, and schedule, from conceptual design to completion in support of RQ’s mission, vision, and values. • Lead mechanical projects for an ambulatory care center and dental clinic at Guantanamo Bay. • Supervise, direct, and coordinate all mechanical construction activities on assigned projects. • Collaborate with mechanical trades superintendents, subcontractors, and RQ team members. • Ensure work meets government specifications, stays within budget, and follows schedule from design to completion.

A 4‑year degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management is preferred. A high school diploma or GED is the minimum formal education required for this position. Courses in project management, construction management, mechanical trade school, BIM and CADD, etc., are preferred. Five or more years of work experience as a Mechanical Project Manager responsible for numerous projects with mechanical scopes of at least $5,000,000 (commercial/government) is required. Government, military, or large commercial construction experience is preferred. Work in the design‑build industry is highly desirable. A demonstrated track record of managing projects in medical centers, dental facilities, or other healthcare environments is preferred. Computer literacy (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Primavera P6) is preferred, with training available. Specific software literacy (BIM) is also preferred, with training available. All candidates considered for hire must provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at the time of hire. Additionally, all candidates must successfully pass a drug screening and commercial criminal background check, including a stricter Department of Defense background check, for access to the job site at the military base if applicable. • Relocate to Guantanamo Bay with a valid passport and pass extensive background screening. • Hold a 4‑year degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management (preferred) and at least a high school diploma. • Possess 5+ years of experience managing mechanical projects of $5 M+ in commercial or government sectors. • Prefer experience in government, military, large commercial, or design‑build construction. • Demonstrated success managing projects in medical or dental facilities. • Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, Primavera P6; BIM/CADD skills preferred. • Pass drug screening and Department of Defense background check; provide U.S. work authorization.

We are seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to join our Field Operations team, located in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Mobilization to Guantanamo Bay will take place in summer of 2026. This position offers a competitive salary range of $130,000‑$150,000, company‑provided housing for self and dependents on the island, a company‑provided vehicle, paid utilities, quarterly trips off the island to your home, and generous foreign income exclusion eligibility, along with medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, health savings account, and paid time off.
