About the Role
• Operate vehicles in compliance with WM safety rules, OSHA, DOT, and all applicable laws. • Perform pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections and submit DVIR reports. • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, accidents, and service interruptions to management or dispatch. • Participate in required trainings, briefings, and meetings. • Collaborate with Operations Manager to improve route efficiency and follow assigned routes. • Safely load, transport, and dump waste or recyclable containers, leaving sites clean. • Complete end‑of‑day documentation and assist fellow drivers as needed.

What You Bring
Drivers operate heavy‑duty trucks equipped with front, side, or rear‑end lift attachments, transporting waste or recyclables to disposal, transfer, or recycling facilities once legal load capacity is reached. Commercial drivers handle containers that can exceed 1,000 pounds, while residential drivers navigate tight residential environments, and roll‑off drivers manage large open‑top and compactor containers on industrial routes. Skilled backing maneuvers are essential across all driver roles. The position requires frequent standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, reaching, handling, sitting, talking, and hearing, reflecting the physical nature of waste‑collection work.
