About the Role

The technician will troubleshoot, inspect, and maintain a variety of ground‑support equipment, including hoists, cranes, chain falls, mobile aerial platforms, powered industrial trucks, and hydraulics sets. Tasks include detecting faults, determining repair scope, adjusting or replacing defective parts, performing minor maintenance, completing inspections, testing repairs, and documenting work through time tickets, service and inspection reports. • Troubleshoot, inspect, and repair lifting devices and ground‑support equipment. • Perform minor maintenance, lubrication, and cleaning tasks. • Conduct inspections of hoists, cranes, chain falls, mobile aerial platforms, powered trucks, and hydraulic sets. • Test repaired equipment for full functionality and document findings. • Complete daily paperwork including time tickets, service reports, and inspection records. • Maintain tools and program equipment per manufacturer recommendations and certifications. • Provide safety assessments and technical support during design reviews and technical interchange meetings.

What You Bring

The role requires a high school diploma and 1‑2 years of experience inspecting and testing lifting devices or equipment. Preferred credentials include certifications as an Overhead and Mobile Crane Inspector or Powered Industrial Truck Inspector, and the ability to obtain a NASA Personnel Identification Verification (PIV) badge. • Hold a high school diploma with 1–2 years of LDE inspection/testing experience. • Preferred certifications: Certified Overhead & Mobile Crane Inspector, Powered Industrial Truck Inspector; ability to obtain NASA PIV badge.
