About the Role
Your Impact: In this role you will design and support drainage, hydrotechnical and stormwater management solutions for new and existing communities, prepare engineering drawings from concept to construction, develop and verify calculations, and build hydraulic models to evaluate system performance. You will also produce clear technical reports, assist with proposal content, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and occasionally take part in field activities to connect design decisions with site conditions. • Design and support drainage, hydrotechnical and stormwater management solutions for new and existing communities. • Prepare preliminary, detailed and tender‑ready engineering drawings, designs and plans. • Develop and verify engineering calculations and technical assessments for project decisions. • Build, run and refine hydrologic and hydraulic models to evaluate system performance. • Produce clear technical reports, memos and project documentation for internal and external clients. • Assist in preparing presentations, proposals and other materials showcasing technical solutions. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate water resources into broader infrastructure projects. • Participate in occasional field activities to validate design decisions on site.

What You Bring
The Skills That Set You Apart: The ideal candidate holds a civil engineering degree (or related discipline) with coursework in water resources and is eligible for Engineer‑in‑Training registration in Alberta. You bring 1‑4 years of experience in municipal engineering, stormwater management or hydraulic modelling, familiarity with Alberta design standards, and hands‑on experience with tools such as WaterCAD, PCSWMM, MIKE+, InfoWorks, AutoCAD, Civil 3D and GIS. A curiosity‑driven, problem‑solving mindset and a desire to contribute to community‑focused infrastructure projects are essential. • Civil Engineering (or related) degree with water resources coursework; eligible for Engineer‑in‑Training registration in Alberta. • 1–4 years of experience in municipal engineering, stormwater management or hydraulic modelling. • Familiarity with Alberta design standards and municipal engineering practices. • Proficiency with modelling tools (WaterCAD, PCSWMM, MIKE+, InfoWorks) and design platforms (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS). • Curiosity‑driven, problem‑solving mindset and eagerness to learn new tools.
