About the Role

The Estimating Hub delivers a broad range of outputs, including order‑of‑magnitude to detailed first‑principles estimates, estimating assurance, support for major programme set‑up, and data analysis and benchmarking, all aimed at informing client decision‑making. Key responsibilities include producing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates and cost plans, managing the estimating process at project level, and delivering estimates without supervision. The role also involves gathering and sharing estimating data, promoting best‑practice methodologies, supporting departmental targets, and staying abreast of technical developments to provide expert advice. • Produce accurate, comprehensive cost estimates and cost plans for infrastructure projects. • Independently manage the estimating process at project level. • Gather, analyse, and share estimating data to support client decision‑making. • Promote and develop estimating best‑practice within the organisation. • Contribute to departmental objectives and stay current with technical advancements.

What You Bring

To support continued growth, Turner & Townsend is recruiting Estimators and Senior Estimators with proven experience in infrastructure sectors such as rail, highways, power, marine, water or utilities. Positions are based in the North East & Yorkshire region, with offices in Newcastle, Teesside, Sheffield and Leeds, and the company is flexible on location. Estimators may work as embedded resources within client organisations or on ad‑hoc assignments for multiple clients, and remote work within the region is also possible. Candidates must be highly qualified in Estimating or Quantity Surveying with experience delivering estimates on large projects, be proficient with estimating software, and hold membership of a relevant professional body (RICS, CIOB, ACE) or be working towards chartered status. • Hold a qualification in Estimating or Quantity Surveying with large‑project experience. • Demonstrate proficiency with estimating software and professional membership (RICS, CIOB, ACE). • Work flexibly across Newcastle, Teesside, Sheffield, Leeds or remotely within the region.
