About the Role
The Analytics team develops CoStar's customer‑facing Real Estate Analytics products, creating data‑intensive applications that transform vast research data into fast, reliable, and intuitive platforms. The team blends big‑data, API/platform, and front‑end expertise and is rapidly expanding to shape the future of real‑estate analytics. The Senior Software Engineer will lead full‑lifecycle development of this critical product, working onsite in San Diego Monday through Thursday with remote work on Fridays. The role requires ownership of design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support while collaborating across engineering, product, design, and leadership. • Design, build, test, and deploy scalable, reusable applications for large data sets. • Own the full development lifecycle, including production support. • Collaborate with engineers, product owners, designers, and leadership. • Provide technical architecture, design, and code guidance. • Champion technical and process improvements, exploring new tools and best practices. • Develop deep understanding of CoStar’s analytics products and business. • Follow software development best practices (code reviews, source control, CI/CD, testing).

What You Bring
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. • Possess 7+ years of professional software development experience. • Have solid object‑oriented programming expertise. • Know modern server‑side languages/frameworks (C#, .NET, Web API, Node). • Be proficient in modern front‑end technologies (JavaScript, React, etc.). • Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server. • Skilled with source‑control systems like Git or TFS. • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure). • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. • Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., Redis, Neo4j) is a plus.
