About the Role

In this role you will support directional drilling for underground conduit and fiber optic cable installations. You will locate and operate horizontal directional drills, coordinate with the drill locator to install coax and fiber systems, read utility locates, manage daylighting of existing utilities, and transport heavy equipment to and from the job site while ensuring public and underground utility safety. • Locate and operate horizontal directional drills for underground conduit and fiber optic installation. • Coordinate with drill locator to install coax and fiber systems safely. • Read utility locates and manage daylighting of existing utilities. • Transport and set up heavy equipment daily at job sites. • Maintain public and underground utility safety throughout operations. • Operate Vermeer or Ditch Witch drills of various sizes. • Interpret maps, drawings, and diagrams for project builds. • Commit to safety, high‑quality work, and teamwork on long‑term projects.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate is safety‑focused, delivers high‑quality work, and enjoys solving complex problems hands‑on. You should have at least two years of urban utility directional drilling experience, be proficient with Vermeer or Ditch Witch drills, be able to interpret maps, drawings, and diagrams, and hold a valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record. A desire to make a community impact and work long‑term with a team is essential. • Demonstrate at least 2 years urban utility directional drilling experience. • Hold a valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
