About the Role
The position is an on‑site, non‑remote role based in the Turner office or project locations. It serves as the subject‑matter expert on client, consultant, and trade contractual terms, ensuring compliance across projects and business units. The incumbent will establish and manage contract workflows, provide guidance to project leadership, and coordinate with legal counsel, purchasing, estimating, and operations to address contract exceptions and code interpretations. • Set up, negotiate, enforce, and educate on project contracts. • Support business development with contract review and negotiations. • Assist purchasing, estimating, and operations with special contract needs. • Ensure projects follow contract terms and maintain proper documentation. • Advise project leadership on staffing requirements for contract compliance. • Respond to all letters within 24‑48 hours per contract requirements. • Verify that transmittals, RFIs, emails, and other documents align with contracts. • Create efficient workflows for handling incoming correspondence. • Strategize responses to contract issues with project leadership. • Consult legal counsel at project start and throughout its duration. • Help resolve code interpretation discrepancies as needed. • Draft and review contract-related letters with factual assistance. • Develop tools to track and address contract issues effectively. • Communicate contract directions and company stance to staff. • Update senior staff on contract progress and issues during meetings. • Recommend process changes to reduce waste and improve efficiency. • Educate, mentor, and train team members on contract best practices.

What You Bring
Candidates must have at least four years of formal engineering or architectural training, ten years of construction or construction‑law experience, and solid knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, engineering principles, and contract law. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential. The role requires physical ability to navigate construction sites, including climbing stairs and ladders, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. Work environments involve exposure to moving equipment, heights, weather conditions, and moderate to loud noise.
