Statistical analysis of collected data supports the maintenance of high quality and reliability standards. This role requires interpreting engineering documentation and collaborating with management, production, and engineering staff to define acceptable quality levels. Selected items are inspected for dimensional accuracy, performance, and various physical or chemical characteristics, with findings recorded using statistical control techniques. The inspector partners with customer service, product service, and marketing departments to address product concerns, occasionally performing field investigations. Internal audits are performed to meet ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements, and tools such as gauges are kept calibrated while controlled documentation is regularly updated.
