About the Role

The position assists electricians with planning, layout, installation, testing, and repair of wiring, fixtures, motors, equipment, and control systems according to plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. The employee may also work in other crafts as directed by project supervision and must follow instructions from higher‑skilled workers or foremen. Workers perform up to 12‑hour shifts that involve hard physical labor in varying temperatures and outdoor environments while complying with all safety standards and wearing required protective equipment. • Maintain positive working relationships with all crew members. • Produce high‑quality work safely and productively at all times. • Provide feedback to ensure needed materials, tools, equipment, and information are available. • Inspect subordinates' work for accuracy and code compliance, correcting deficiencies as needed. • Eliminate waste such as waiting, rework, transport, material storage, and excess time. • Lift and carry heavy items up to 50 lb. • Climb and maintain balance on steel/wood frameworks, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds. • Lift, push, or pull objects up to 50 lb occasionally; frequently use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry, or feel objects. • Comply with all safety standards and procedures and wear required personal protective equipment. • Navigate confined, cluttered, and uneven work areas.

What You Bring

• Demonstrate high proficiency in trade‑related mathematics. • One to two years of industrial/commercial construction experience with a general understanding of the electrical trade. • NCCER Core Curriculum and/or high school diploma or equivalent preferred. • Effective verbal and written communication skills. • Work up to 12‑hour shifts performing hard physical labor in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions. • Reach above shoulder height and below waist frequently; stoop, kneel, or bend occasionally.
