Job Highlights
About the Role
The role is responsible for architecting and delivering secure, scalable cloud‑native services and agentic AI workflows in production. You will own the GenAI/ML architecture, define model strategies across prompting, retrieval, and fine‑tuning, and standardize tool integrations using MCP‑based patterns. Additionally, you will set evaluation and observability standards, provide reference architectures, and work closely with product, security, and engineering leaders. • Design and build scalable, secure cloud‑native services and agentic AI workflows for production. • Define model strategy (prompting, retrieval/RAG, fine‑tuning) balancing quality, latency, safety, and cost. • Standardize tool/context integrations using MCP‑based patterns to accelerate team delivery. • Establish evaluation and observability standards (regression testing, monitoring, feedback loops). • Provide technical direction through reference architectures, best practices, and hands‑on guidance across teams. • Collaborate with product, security/privacy, and engineering leaders to deliver high‑impact features.

What You Bring
The Applied AI team within Autodesk’s Data and Process Management organization builds cloud‑native AI agents that simplify Product Data Management and Product Lifecycle Management workflows. This hands‑on architecture role designs core platform patterns and writes production code for large‑scale generative AI systems. The ideal candidate is ambitious, curious, and practical, with a track record of shipping scalable AI applications, whether in GenAI or traditional machine learning. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, machine learning, data science, or equivalent experience, and have at least eight years building cloud‑native production software. Four years of experience delivering AI/ML‑powered systems—both traditional ML pipelines and LLM‑based agent workflows—are required, along with expertise in MCP or similar integration patterns. Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or Java and strong communication skills are also essential. Preferred experience includes designing AI evaluation pipelines and production release strategies, deep familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP, and modern platform practices such as containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and observability. Background in PLM/PDM, manufacturing, CAD, or enterprise workflow software is valued, as are open‑source contributions, publications, or talks on distributed systems, ML, or generative AI. • Own GenAI/ML architecture for production agents, including tool use, orchestration, state/memory, routing, and multi‑step workflows. • Bachelor’s/Master’s in CS, ML, Data Science or equivalent practical experience. • 8+ years building cloud‑native production software (distributed systems, APIs, data‑intensive services). • 4+ years delivering AI/ML‑powered systems in production (traditional ML pipelines or LLM‑based agents). • Experience with MCP or similar patterns for model‑to‑tool integration. • Proven ability to deploy and maintain AI applications reliably with performance monitoring. • Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or Java with strong testing, performance, and security fundamentals. • Excellent communication skills for explaining trade‑offs and influencing decisions. • Deep experience designing AI evaluation pipelines and production release strategies. • Expertise with AWS, Azure, or GCP and modern platform practices (containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability). • Background in PLM/PDM, manufacturing, CAD, or enterprise workflow software. • Open‑source contributions, publications, or talks on distributed systems, ML, or GenAI.
