About the Role
The Senior Technical Professional is responsible for the design, specification, and delivery of structures and foundations constructed from concrete, steel, wood, or engineered products for platforms, bridges, pipe racks, buildings, and similar facilities. Working under general supervision, the role involves conventional engineering tasks while also devising innovative approaches to complex problems, including conflicting design requirements and material challenges. The incumbent plans, schedules, and executes work that requires independent judgment in selecting and adapting engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria. They provide technical guidance to designers and less‑experienced engineers, influencing cost containment, efficiency, and overall project profitability. • Design, specify, and deliver structural and foundation solutions for platforms, bridges, pipe racks, buildings, and similar facilities. • Plan, schedule, and execute engineering work, adapting techniques to resolve complex design and material challenges. • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to designers and junior engineers. • Lead small projects or project segments, managing budgets, timelines, coordination, and team performance. • Conduct employee performance appraisals and coach lower‑level professionals.

What You Bring
A broad knowledge of engineering precedents and at least a bachelor’s degree in engineering are required, with a minimum of four years of relevant experience (average 6‑10 years). The role may include leading a functional area on a small project or a segment of a larger effort, overseeing budgeting, organization, coordination, and performance appraisals of staff. Certification as a Licensed or Chartered Professional Engineer is preferred. • Hold a bachelor's degree in engineering with at least 4 years (average 6‑10) relevant experience. • Demonstrate strong knowledge of engineering precedents and ability to address conflicting requirements. • Preferred: obtain and maintain Licensed/Chartered Professional Engineer certification.
