About the Role
Senior Project Managers will lead multidisciplinary teams through the entire project lifecycle, from option studies and design procurement to site delivery and commissioning. They will provide client‑side project management, overseeing stakeholders, health and safety, risk, quality, schedule, and contract administration (NEC). The role also includes mentoring junior staff, managing subcontractors, and supporting business development and bid submissions. • Lead multidisciplinary, complex water projects from inception to commissioning. • Provide client‑side project management covering stakeholder, health & safety, risk, quality, schedule, and NEC contract administration. • Mentor and support Project Managers, graduates, and apprentices. • Establish governance structures defining roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities. • Ensure delivery meets client expectations for quality, cost, and timeline. • Allocate and manage project resources and subcontractors effectively. • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and cross‑functional teams. • Identify and support business development opportunities with existing and new clients. • Prepare and manage submission of project‑management bids.

What You Bring
Candidates must have at least six years of consulting experience delivering full‑spectrum project‑management services, preferably in the water industry. Required skills include proven use of NEC3/NEC4 contracts (especially PSC and ECC), strong communication and organisational abilities, and the capacity to build and maintain client and stakeholder relationships. A relevant degree or equivalent experience, along with a project‑management qualification such as APM PMQ or PRINCE2, is desirable, as is membership of a chartered professional body. • Minimum six years of consulting project‑management experience, preferably in the water sector. • Proven experience with NEC3/NEC4 contracts, especially Professional Services and Engineering & Construction contracts. • Relevant degree in engineering, construction, environmental science, or equivalent experience. • Project‑management certification (APM PMQ, PRINCE2) and membership of a chartered professional body is desirable. • Strong communication, organisational, and relationship‑building skills.
