About the Role

The Carpenter Foreman oversees and coordinates carpentry crews to ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule. The role includes creating detailed sketches, planning jobs, securing required resources, and adhering to timelines. A thorough understanding of advanced layout, anchor bolt positioning, material takeoffs, and construction safety is essential. • Inspect the quality of all work to ensure standards and specifications are met • Assist workers in their duties and resolve problems • Interpret and enforce company policies and safety regulations • Read and interpret blueprints/sketches, and complete reports • Build and set forms, use level instruments, tie rebar, construct scaffolding, perform finish carpentry, measure, set screeds, install batter boards, and operate hand and power tools • Assist other craft workers as needed

What You Bring

The position requires the ability to lift or carry up to 50 lb regularly and up to 100 lb occasionally, with frequent use of hands, arms, and legs. Candidates must be comfortable working on uneven or muddy terrain, climbing ladders and scaffolds, and operating electric, gas, or pneumatic tools. Exposure to adverse weather, confined spaces, and prolonged physical activities such as bending, crawling, and squatting is expected. Strong communication skills are needed to interact effectively with supervisors and field workers, as well as to read and write instructions and safety policies. The foreman must be proficient in basic math, detail‑oriented, and capable of making decisions under distraction. Leadership and motivational abilities are critical for guiding the crew.
