About the Role

Under general direction, you will act as the on‑site project leader responsible for planning, executing, and completing control‑systems projects for assigned customers. Duties include hardware design, system programming, installation coordination, system and network commissioning, and project close‑out, while managing project costs, billings, and collections. You will maintain a balance between customer satisfaction and financial results, actively pursue change‑order sales, coordinate communication throughout all project phases, and ensure warranty obligations are met. Providing work direction to subcontractors, installers, technicians, designers, and administrative staff is also required. All work must comply with state, local, and federal regulations and be performed with the highest ethical standards. You will enforce Johnson Controls’ safety policies and ensure that both staff and subcontractors adhere to them. • Lead on‑site control‑systems projects from planning through close‑out. • Design hardware, program systems, coordinate installations, and commission networks. • Manage project budgets, billing, and collections to meet financial targets. • Balance customer satisfaction with project profitability and pursue change‑order sales. • Communicate project status and coordinate with customers throughout all phases. • Direct subcontractors, installers, technicians, designers, and administrative staff. • Ensure all work complies with state, local, and federal regulations and ethical standards. • Enforce Johnson Controls’ Zero Harm safety policies for staff and subcontractors. • Apply technical expertise in HVAC controls and digital system commissioning.

What You Bring

Required qualifications include an associate’s degree in a technical field with three years of field experience (or five years equivalent), project management experience, strong computer skills, and the ability to convey technical information to non‑technical audiences. Preferred candidates have five‑plus years of HVAC industry experience, hands‑on expertise in digital HVAC control systems, and knowledge of project accounting and costing principles. • Utilize strong computer skills to support project execution and documentation. • Demonstrate effective communication of technical material to non‑technical audiences. • Bring at least three years of field experience (or five years equivalent) and project management background.
