About the Role
The Apprentice Electrician position at Bergelectric Corp. supports certified electricians in installing and repairing electrical systems across commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential projects, while ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and company policies. The role is safety‑sensitive and involves adherence to Bergelectric’s operational standards. Apprentices assist with installation, repair, maintenance, and testing of electrical systems, using hand and power tools under supervision. Tasks include measuring, cutting, bending, threading, and installing wiring, conduit, and raceway systems, as well as splicing, terminating, and handling components such as control centers, distribution boxes, and switchgear. They also manage material logistics, communicate with foremen and crew, and uphold productivity and professionalism standards. The role requires lifting and pulling up to 50 lb, climbing ladders, squatting, kneeling with a 25 lb tool belt, and standing for extended periods while performing repetitive tasks. Work is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions, with high noise levels, and may involve ladders, man lifts, or reach booms. • Install, repair, maintain, and test commercial, industrial, and residential electrical systems. • Use hand and power tools under supervision to measure, cut, bend, thread, and install wiring and conduit. • Assist electricians with splicing, terminating, and connecting wires in control centers, distribution boxes, transformers, and switchgear. • Gather, transport, and organize materials on construction sites. • Communicate effectively with foremen, crew members, customers, and vendors. • Follow Bergelectric’s safety policies, productivity schedules, and professional conduct standards. • Read and interpret electrical single‑line blueprints. • Apply knowledge of electrical theory, circuits, three‑phase transformers, and wiring methods. • Safely lift, pull, climb ladders, and work in various weather and high‑noise environments.

What You Bring
