About the Role

In this role you will conduct high‑voltage substation works with a strong focus on safety and technical ability, working positively and collaboratively as part of a team to complete tasks efficiently. You will be responsible for testing, commissioning and maintaining substation protection systems while adhering to the protection scheme philosophy. • Test, commission and maintain substation protection systems • Apply protection scheme philosophy and interpret schematics • Operate Omicron or equivalent protection test equipment • Produce test reports and as‑built documentation for projects • Reference manuals, wiring diagrams and collaborate with engineering staff during commissioning • Assist the team with compliance, SHEQ and technical knowledge

What You Bring

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of industry experience with power assets, hold an Electrical Workers Registration Board (EWRB) registration as an electrician or electrical engineer (full, provisional or limited), and possess practical experience in high‑voltage or substation environments. Strong communication skills, good computer literacy and a valid driver’s licence are also required. • Minimum three years’ experience with power assets • Hold full, provisional or limited EWRB registration as an electrician or electrical engineer • Practical experience in HV, substation or power transmission (desired) • Strong communication and computer literacy skills • Valid driver’s licence
