About the Role

The Regional Operations Manager – Fire Protection/Sprinkler Manager leads a regional team that delivers inspection, testing, maintenance, repair and small project work for sprinkler, standpipe and wet fire protection systems. The role ensures safe, compliant and efficient service delivery while driving operational excellence, service quality and client satisfaction. It also supports growth and expansion of the sprinkler and wet systems service line. In the people leadership capacity, the manager oversees a team of sprinkler technicians, fitters, coordinators and subcontractors, providing hands‑on technical guidance. Responsibilities include employee development, training, performance management, hiring and retention, as well as maintaining full health and safety compliance through regular safety meetings and a safety‑first culture. Operational duties involve scheduling, resource planning and service coordination for regional sprinkler and water‑based fire protection systems. The manager controls operational budgets, labour, materials, subcontractor costs and work order delivery, ensuring timely completion of inspections, testing, maintenance, service calls and small projects while leading proactive maintenance and troubleshooting initiatives. The manager acts as a subject matter expert for sprinkler and wet fire protection systems, supporting client discussions on compliance, system performance, lifecycle planning and service quality. What You Bring

Candidates should have 5–10 years of experience in sprinkler or wet fire protection systems, supervisory or leadership experience, and familiarity with estimating, inspection, testing and maintenance programs. A trade background or apprenticeship in sprinkler fitting, knowledge of NFPA and local fire codes, proficiency with CMMS tools, strong communication skills and a valid driver’s license are considered assets. • 5–10 years experience with sprinkler or wet fire protection systems or similar life‑safety services. • Supervisory experience managing field technicians or subcontractors. • Experience developing or reviewing estimates and quotations. • Knowledge of NFPA 13, 14, 20, 25, 10 and applicable national, provincial and building codes. • Trade background or apprenticeship in sprinkler fitting or related mechanical/fire protection field. • Proficiency with CMMS and digital service management tools. • Strong communication, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills. • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
