About the Role
Mortenson is currently seeking a Superintendent II who will coordinate, plan, and supervise assistant superintendents, contractors, and craft activities within a specific discipline area. The role includes developing and enhancing customer relationships through excellent service and managing multiple complex projects from development through closeout. • Plan and implement material, equipment, and inspection schedules to support project timelines. • Review construction and contract documents for completeness and constructability. • Coordinate plans with design engineers and resolve discrepancies. • Develop and manage overall project schedules, including three‑ and six‑week look‑ahead plans. • Create site logistics plans and oversee utilization of Mortenson tools and equipment. • Collaborate with partner superintendents and lead on‑site orientations, pre‑construction sessions, and site meetings. • Supervise partner crews, craft foremen, and assist with hiring, transfers, and terminations of craft team members. • Coach and mentor assistant superintendents and other project team members. • Ensure accurate task coding of work hours, track progress, and monitor craft productivity. • Conduct training, career development discussions, and foster diverse, inclusive relationships. • Lead by example, provide coaching, feedback, and manage performance. • Manage safety, quality, risk, and compliance, and identify process improvements.

What You Bring
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in construction‑related field or 10 years trade experience. • Minimum 8 years of construction management or related experience. • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 100%. • Ability to manage multiple complex projects from development to closeout. • Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills. • Basic knowledge of construction law and business practices. • Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency. • Positive, professional attitude with strong customer service and communication skills. • Ability to interpret Mortenson policies and practice active listening. • Understanding of EEOC, inclusive behaviors, and affirmative action plans.

Benefits
The position offers a base pay range of $130,100‑$195,200, with higher ranges for certain locations, and includes eligibility for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
