About the Role
Key responsibilities encompass general team management, resource planning, career development, quality assurance and business development. The leader will supervise staff, balance workloads, mentor employees, enforce safety and QA/QC standards, oversee hiring and onboarding, and contribute to proposal preparation and budgeting. • Supervise and mentor all process engineering team members. • Communicate corporate policies and safety training through regular meetings. • Approve team timesheets and ensure billable utilization. • Identify staffing needs, adjust workloads, and balance project demands. • Forecast skill gaps and coordinate recruitment or training to fill them. • Manage overcapacity by reallocating resources and planning actions. • Oversee hiring, onboarding, and provision of tools and software. • Implement disciplinary actions and resolve team conflicts as needed. • Conduct performance reviews and guide career development plans. • Ensure compliance with AECOM QA/QC standards and capture lessons learned. • Support detailed design checking, ITR processes and change‑order assessments. • Review and assign responsibility for all team deliverables per client requirements. • Recognize and reward exceptional team performance. • Contribute to annual business planning and growth targets for the department. • Develop scope of work and budgets for proposal submissions. • Lead technical work on refinery or NGL projects for 7+ years. • Support business development through proposal scoping and client presentations.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a BA/BS and at least ten years of relevant industrial, refinery or power engineering experience. Preferred qualifications include five years of supervisory experience, a PE license, extensive leadership on refinery or NGL projects, proficiency with Aspen/HYSYS, Arrow, Fathom, Promax and Pipe‑flo, and a proven record of process standardization, resource planning and business development support. • Hold a BA/BS and at least 10 years of industrial/refinery/power engineering experience. • Possess 5+ years of supervisory experience and a PE license (preferred). • Proficient with Aspen/HYSYS, Arrow, Fathom, Promax, Pipe‑flo and HAZOP studies. • Experience planning multi‑discipline projects and standardizing engineering processes. • Skilled in resource planning, labor forecasting and cost estimating. • Demonstrated passion for building and mentoring technical teams.

Benefits
The position is based in Houston, Texas, operates under a hybrid work model and offers a compensation range of $190,000‑$235,000. Relocation assistance and visa sponsorship are not available for this role.
