About the Role

The Quality Control Manager oversees the quality control programs for construction projects and leads the QC team to ensure all work meets the standards defined in contracts and specification documents. • Develop and maintain project-specific quality control programs to meet or exceed goals. • Oversee quality testing, inspections, and audits of engineering, procurement, and construction activities. • Identify training needs, create materials, and conduct quality-related training. • Certify compliance of construction and materials with design plans; manage final certification submittals. • Conduct site visits to assess field QC effectiveness. • Collaborate with quality professionals and management to resolve quality issues. • Manage discrepancy reports, track resolutions, and verify completion before project closeout. • Direct removal and replacement of non‑conforming work and halt non‑compliant production. • Review contractor and supplier activities for adherence to procedures, specifications, and codes. • Identify gaps and propose changes to quality standards affecting project operations. • Evaluate impact of regulatory changes on project quality plans. • Develop metrics to measure QC program effectiveness and report results. • Hire, train, and manage performance of QC staff. • Maintain quality‑related records and reporting.

What You Bring

The role requires frequent work outdoors on construction sites as well as indoors, involving standing, walking, climbing, and exposure to varying weather conditions and noise. Physical tasks include frequent standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, crouching, and occasional use of a keyboard. Candidates must have at least five years of experience in construction quality programs, a solid understanding of contracts, plans, specifications and applicable codes, and the ability to lead and motivate a team while meeting project deadlines. • Minimum 5 years experience in construction quality programs. • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, plans, specifications, and applicable codes. • Proven ability to implement, measure, and report on quality programs. • Demonstrated skill in identifying and resolving quality issues. • Effective management and leadership abilities; capable of motivating teams. • Ability to meet project deadlines. • Excellent verbal, written, and training communication skills. • Strong client relations, influencing, and organizational abilities. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
