About the Role
The position involves field activities such as borehole layout, drill rig supervision, logging, rock‑face mapping, surveying and inspections. You will summarize and analyze field and laboratory findings, build 2‑D and 3‑D geological and geotechnical models, and assist in design and monitoring of underground or surface rock excavations. What You Bring
We are seeking a Geological Engineer‑in‑Training to join our Rock Mechanics team in Mississauga or Sudbury. Under the mentorship of intermediate and senior experts, you will support mining, closure and infrastructure projects while collaborating with specialists in rock mechanics, geophysics, structural geology, hydrogeology and geotechnical engineering. This role offers a chance to learn, grow and make a real impact. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geological, Mining or Geotechnical Engineering and be eligible for registration with the PEO. A basic understanding of geology, structural geology and rock mechanics, familiarity with geotechnical software, a valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel within Ontario are required. Strong organisational abilities, adaptability to field and office environments, and a commitment to safety and teamwork are essential. • Learn consulting practices and share technical skills with peers. • Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Geological, Mining or Geotechnical Engineering; eligible for PEO registration. • Possess basic knowledge of geology, structural geology and rock mechanics; familiar with geotechnical software. • Have a valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel within Ontario. • Demonstrate strong organizational, safety and teamwork abilities. • Commitment to health, safety and environment; ability to work in remote or inclement conditions.
