About the Role

Join a nationally significant defence programme as a BIM Manager, where you will lead the development and deployment of information management strategies within a secure and complex environment. This role offers the opportunity to gain or enhance Security Clearance (SC) and establish yourself as a subject matter expert in BIM delivery across major programmes. You will drive digital transformation, deliver measurable client outcomes, and foster collaboration across the supply chain to maximise value and performance. • Develop and implement BIM strategies aligned with client requirements and best practices • Author and maintain BIM documentation and workflows per ISO 19650 and the UK BIM Framework • Lead rollout of BIM processes across client organisations, programmes, and projects • Communicate BIM strategies and workflows to internal and external stakeholders • Identify project risks and propose mitigation strategies • Collaborate with clients, design teams, and contractors to ensure consistent BIM methodology • Manage and mentor BIM teams, fostering a culture of quality and innovation • Facilitate stakeholder workshops and project meetings to drive alignment • Conduct structured reviews and clash detection using industry‑standard tools • Analyse project data for compliance and generate actionable insights • Produce high‑quality reports and documentation to support decision‑making • Review and validate colleagues' work to maintain Turner & Townsend quality standards • Support project teams with BIM deliverables and continuous improvement initiatives • Enhance Turner & Townsend BIM documentation and processes through active participation • Lead and contribute to bid proposals showcasing BIM capabilities and value • Provide line management and professional development support to team members • Research emerging technologies and assess their applicability to client needs • Work on site in Derby 2‑3 days per week with potential travel to other client sites • Gain or enhance Security Clearance (SC) while working in a secure, mission‑critical environment • Contribute to cutting‑edge digital transformation in the built environment • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across major projects

What You Bring

• UK Security Clearance required • Degree‑qualified in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline, or equivalent experience • Proven experience delivering BIM strategies on complex infrastructure programmes • Strong understanding of BS EN ISO 19650 standards and the UK BIM Framework • Familiarity with international BIM standards and their application in secure environments • Proficient in developing and maintaining BIM documentation, workflows, and implementation plans • Hands‑on experience with Common Data Environments (CDEs) and BIM‑enabled project delivery • Skilled in 3D modelling software such as Revit, ArchiCAD, or similar • Competent in model interrogation and clash detection using Navisworks or Solibri • Working knowledge of data visualisation platforms like Power BI or Tableau • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement across technical and non‑technical audiences • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage deliverables, and mentor junior staff • Eligible for SC clearance; sole British nationality preferred due to programme sensitivity • Prior experience in defence or other secure/government environments (desirable) • Experience contributing to bid proposals and business development activities (desirable) • Workshop facilitation and presentation skills (desirable) • Methodical, detail‑oriented approach with a proactive, inquisitive mindset (desirable) • Confidence in challenging assumptions and driving innovation in digital delivery (desirable) • Be recognised as a subject matter expert in BIM and digital delivery
