About the Role
Drivers operate heavy‑duty trucks equipped with front, side, or rear‑end lift attachments, transporting waste or recyclable containers that can exceed 1,000 lb. They navigate high‑traffic roadways, driveways, alleyways, and lot environments, performing skilled backing maneuvers, and may work in residential or roll‑off routes requiring careful handling of large open‑top containers. Key duties include operating vehicles according to WM Safety, OSHA, DOT, and all applicable laws; completing pre‑ and post‑trip inspections with DVIR reports; reporting unsafe situations, incidents, and service interruptions; attending required training and collaborating with managers to improve route efficiency; communicating customer requests, dumping receptacles, and leaving sites clean; following assigned routes, completing end‑of‑day paperwork, and assisting other drivers as needed. • Operate heavy‑duty trucks with front, side, or rear lift attachments to collect and transport waste or recyclables. • Perform pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections and complete DVIR documentation. • Follow WM Safety, OSHA, DOT, and all local, state, and federal regulations while driving. • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, accidents, and service interruptions to Operations Manager or Dispatch immediately. • Attend mandatory training, briefings, and meetings; collaborate with managers to improve route efficiency. • Communicate customer requests, dump receptacles, and leave sites clean and free of debris. • Follow assigned routes, complete end‑of‑day paperwork, and assist other drivers as needed.

What You Bring
The position is located at 1580 E Elwood St., Phoenix, AZ. Candidates with at least one year of CDL driving experience in waste collection or local delivery are highly preferred. The role offers $25.50 per hour (DOE) on a full‑time, day‑shift schedule with required weekend availability. Applicants must have at least one year of CDL (Class A or B with air‑brake endorsement) or equivalent military driving experience within the past seven years, be at least 18 years old, and be legally eligible to work in the United States. A high school diploma or GED is preferred. The role requires physical activities such as standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, reaching, handling, sitting, talking, and hearing, with reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
